Monday 10.7.2023 – Welcoming Reception At Vapriikki

The IPA 2023 Welcoming Reception will be held in Vapriikki museum. With a picturesque location beside the Tammerkoski rapids, Vapriikki is a museum centre that offers things to see and do for the whole family. Vapriikki is also home to the Natural History Museum of Tampere, the Mineral Museum, the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame, Postal Museum and The Finnish Museum of Games. Vapriikki is housed in the old Tampella factory hall, a linen mill, whose oldest parts date back to the 1880s. On top of everything, you have free entry to an exhibition called 'Once Upon a Time, a Story of the Origin of Fairy Tales' that is located at Vapriikki. Tuesday 11.7.2023 – Boat Trip & Exploring Island Viikinsaari

- If you want to use the sauna, please bring your swimsuit with you as there is no swimsuit rental available. → Free towels are provided.
Viikinsaari island is a summer paradise for the whole family, only a quick boat ride away from Tampere city center, Laukontori harbor. There is a nature trail around island Viikinsaari, 1.3 km long and suitable for the whole family. There are also sauna and swimming options available at the site.

Wednesday 12.7.2023 – Congress Banquet At Tampere Hall
Nb: Due to the high demand, we have updated the banquet location to a venue with more capacity, Tampere Hall. The updated banquet location is conveniently in the same building as the congress venue, Tampere Hall.
We hope that all of you will be delighted to join the banquet, and appreciate that with updating the venue, we can now accommodate even more of your colleagues to the banquet.
In order to make the banquet even more desirable for all, we decided to continue the Early Bird pricing 120 € (for all participant types; members, nonmembers, students).
The deadline for registering to the banquet is June 26th, 2023.

Conference Hotel Murikanranta – Everything in peaceful seclusion! Murikanranta is located on the shore of Lake Näsijärvi, and the location us traditionally Finnish and very quiet. There is a spa area, saunas, and possibility to go swimming in lake Näsijärvi! Food and other activities.
Travel time to Murikanranta from the congress venue:
→ The bus ride there and back is scheduled and included in the price.
